About Padua Carnival

The Padua Carnival brings the grand parade of allegorical floats to Prato della Valle, with masked groups from all over the province and the Veneto region. A day of celebration for families that opens with the "Coriandoli e Sapori" village and its food trucks, and culminates with the parade and award ceremony for the floats, organized by the Municipality with the Pro Loco Venete.

Floats in one of the largest squares in Europe

The Padua Carnival chooses Prato della Valle, one of the largest squares in Europe, as the stage for its parade of allegorical floats. Masked groups and float builders from various Municipalities in the province of Padua and from other areas of Veneto animate a day of celebration open to all citizens.

Coriandoli e Sapori (Confetti and Flavors)

The day opens in the morning with the "Coriandoli e Sapori" village: over twenty food trucks distributed in several areas offer sweets, arrosticini, platters, grilled meat, arancini, porchetta, fried fish, and specialties from all over the world, in a wide and diverse gastronomic offering.

A celebration for families

The highlight is the afternoon parade, followed by the award ceremony for the float builders' groups. Designed especially for families, the Carnival is organized by the Municipality of Padua together with the Pro Loco Venete.
