The great spring flower and nursery market in Oriago di Mira, featuring flowers, a regatta, and gastronomy
Oriago in Bloom is the large flower and nursery market that animates the historic center of Oriago di Mira, in the province of Venice, every spring. For one day, Piazza Mercato and Riviera San Pietro are filled with hundreds of exhibitors of flowers, plants, gardening tools, and green care products, transforming the town into a large open-air garden along the Brenta Riviera.
The event, organized by Pro Loco Mira with the patronage of the Municipality of Mira, goes far beyond the flower market. The voga alla veneta regatta, a spectacular race with traditional boats, takes place on the Brenta Canal; the "A Flower for Peace" bike ride winds through the town's streets; and the "Sud in Food" gastronomic area offers specialties from Southern Italy. The official opening is entrusted to the Mira Town Band.
Reaching its 47th edition in 2026, Oriago in Bloom is now a fixed event on the Veneto's spring calendar, capable of attracting thousands of visitors. The day, with free admission, combines a passion for greenery with the conviviality of a local festival, enhancing the link between Oriago, its canal, and the culture of the Brenta Riviera.
The 47th edition of Oriago in Bloom will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, in the historic center of Oriago di Mira. The flower and nursery market will occupy Piazza Mercato and Riviera San Pietro with hundreds of exhibitors of flowers, plants, and gardening products.
Alongside the flower market, the program includes the voga alla veneta regatta on the Brenta Canal, the "A Flower for Peace" bike ride, the "Sud in Food" gastronomic area (open since March 27) with specialties from Southern Italy, a guided walk through the history and legends of the area with architect Elisabetta Vulcano, and the official opening by the Mira Town Band. The event is organized by Pro Loco Mira with the patronage of the Municipality of Mira.
