Edition 2025 — Orecchiette Festival
The 2025 edition
In 2025, the Orecchiette Festival returned to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II in Savignano Irpino, in the province of Avellino, confirming an uninterrupted tradition dating back to 1977. The appointment remained the classic one: a single evening in August dedicated to homemade pasta, with local women busy kneading water, flour, and eggs to hand-shape the orecchiette, then served with Irpinian sauces.
The festival took place within the celebrations for Saint Anne, the patron saint of Savignano Irpino, whose 2025 program extended from July 25 to August 15 with religious moments, concerts, brass bands, and cultural events organized by the Saint Anne Festival Committee. Alongside the tastings, there were stalls featuring local products and live music which, as usual, accompanied the evening until late at night, attracting visitors from Irpinia and nearby Puglia.
