A day of music, art, and nature in the forests of the Ossola Valley
The Open Air Trontano Festival is one of the most beloved summer events in the Ossola Valley: a full day of music, art, and nature held amidst the woods and meadows of Trontano, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont. It is a widespread, open-air festival where the mountain landscape itself becomes part of the stage.
The festival began in 2009 as a space dedicated to young people within the traditional Alpini festival, eventually growing into a key cultural event for the entire region. Today, it is organized by the Clan dello Sciamano collective, in collaboration with NaturaBenessereCultura, and is built on four pillars: music, nature, art, and community.
The heart of the event is live music, spread across multiple stages hosting over twenty artists, bands, and musical projects, mostly emerging talents linked to the northern Piedmont scene. Alongside the concerts, the Open Air offers a rich, diverse program:
The Open Air is linked to Coachellula, a music contest for emerging artists promoted by the D.O.M.O. association (Donatori Ossolani Midollo Osseo): the winner of the selection earns the right to take the stage at the festival and open the day. It is a bridge between solidarity and new music that makes the Open Air a springboard for local talent.
Free, independent, and environmentally conscious, the Open Air Trontano Festival is much more than a concert: it is an opportunity to experience the Ossola region in a unique way, immersed in nature, surrounded by sounds, colors, and encounters. A celebration that captures the soul of Trontano and the community that calls it home.
The 2026 edition of the Open Air Trontano Festival will take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Trontano (Verbano-Cusio-Ossola), confirming the summer appointment that brings music, art, and nature to the woods and meadows of the Ossola Valley.
As per tradition, the day will combine live concerts on multiple stages, exhibitions, performances, creative workshops, and wellness offerings in a free atmosphere in contact with nature. The first to take the stage will be the winner of the Coachellula contest, the selection for emerging artists promoted by the D.O.M.O. association.
The detailed program and full line-up have not yet been published: they will be communicated through the event's official channels in the weeks preceding the festival.
