The torch of the Winter Games crosses the city of the Riviera dei Fiori
The journey of the Olympic Flame towards the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Games also touched Imperia, in Liguria. On January 10, 2026, the city of the Riviera dei Fiori was one of the stages of the torch's route, in a highly anticipated and meaningful moment.
The passage symbolically united the two historic souls of the city, Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, along a route followed by cheering crowds. The torchbearers' relay, with torchbearer Davide Re among the protagonists, carried the flame through the city streets, accompanied by celebrations and festive moments.
The passage of the Olympic torch is always an exceptional event for the cities that host it: an opportunity to experience the spirit of the Games up close and to feel part of a major international event. For Imperia, it was a day to remember, capable of uniting the community around the values of Olympic sport.

The relay united Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, with torchbearer Davide Re among the protagonists. The passage was accompanied by celebrations and a large public turnout along the city streets.
Imperia is reachable by train and from the A10 motorway (Imperia Est and Imperia Ovest exits). The flame's route crossed the seafront and the city center between Oneglia and Porto Maurizio.
