The flame arrives in Lodi

On January 16, 2026, Lodi becomes one of the stops on the Olympic Flame Journey for the XXV Winter Olympic Games of Milan-Cortina 2026. The torch, a symbol of the Games, will travel through the city's historic center in a celebratory procession that involves the community and transforms the streets of the provincial capital into a festive stage.

The route through the historic center

The procession starts from Piazzale degli Sport (assembly and departure point) and crosses the main avenues and squares of the city, passing through Piazza Castello and the Ponte Napoleone Bonaparte over the Adda River, ending in Via Cavallotti. A route that touches the symbolic places of Lodi, accompanying the flame through the urban fabric of the provincial capital.

A city celebrating (and some disruptions)

The event will inevitably cause traffic changes: from 1:00 PM, transit will be prohibited along the procession route, while public transport will be suspended from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM throughout the municipality. Parking restrictions will be in place from early morning in Piazzale degli Sport and Viale Olimpia. Small sacrifices to participate in a moment that, for Lodi, the capital of the Lombard province of the same name, represents a historic and unrepeatable occasion.
