Edition 2025 — Olive Oil Week
The ninth edition of Olive Oil Week, held from August 24 to 28, 2025, offered a rich calendar of events between the historic center of Vieste and the most evocative locations of the Gargano: ancient olive groves, trabucchi, farmhouses, and seaside terraces. The 2025 edition, increasingly international in scope, brought together the agricultural world, institutions, chefs, sommeliers, and tasters.
Highlights included: a visit to an oil mill with Professor Antonia Tamborrino from the University of Bari followed by guided tastings; the Fishing and Oil experience at the Trabucco di Santa Croce; the Mixoilogy extra virgin olive oil cocktail masterclass with Riccardo Santovito of Gargano Dry Gin; Wellness and Oil, mindfulness meditation among the ancient olive groves with Nerina Di Nunzio; a show cooking session pairing Lithuanian dishes with Gargano oils, curated by Lithuanian food journalist Paulius Jurkevicius with the Association of Chefs of Gargano and Capitanata; a workshop with an aperitif and tasting of extra virgin oil from Slow Food Presidium ancient olive trees at the Agalliu Eralda Farm, and Pizza in the Square with Diego Vitagliano at Marina Piccola. Every evening, the Producers' Market at Marina Piccola hosted Gargano oils with live music, while the Tasting Experience curated by Oleum awarded the winners of the Mignola d'Oro competition.
