Edition 2025 — Norcina Art Festival

In January 2025, the hamlet of San Michele in Agliana (PT) hosted the Norcina Art Festival, a historic event that opens the Tuscan festival calendar. In Piazza San Michele, starting in the morning, the norcini offered their customary demonstration of pork butchery and the tasting of typical pork products, from schiacciata all'arista to sausages, in the spirit of the local rural tradition.

The 2025 edition of the Norcina Art Festival took place on a Sunday in January in Piazza San Michele, in Agliana (Pistoia province), confirming the event's role as one of the first major culinary appointments of the year in Tuscany.

In 2025, the public was once again able to witness the live pork butchery demonstration and enjoy the specialties of the norcina tradition: schiacciata all'arista, sausages, migliacci, and typical pork products. The event, organized by the Associazione Feste Rurali Parrocchia di San Michele with the Municipality of Agliana, attracted numerous visitors, remaining faithful to the ancient rural custom that "nothing goes to waste from the pig."
