About NoJazz

NoJazz is the summer festival dedicated to jazz and its various fusions, held annually in the heart of the historic center of Noicattaro, in the province of Bari. Promoted by the local Department of Culture in collaboration with Bass Culture, the event brings major names from the Italian and international jazz scene to Puglia, with a program that is entirely free to attend. From early editions featuring Paolo Fresu and Omar Sosa to tributes to Stevie Wonder and Pino Daniele, NoJazz combines artistic excellence, a convivial atmosphere, and the promotion of the local area.

A jazz festival in the heart of Noicattaro

NoJazz is the music festival dedicated to jazz and its fusions that transforms Piazza Umberto I, in the historic center of Noicattaro, into an open-air stage every summer. Promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Noicattaro in collaboration with Bass Culture, the event has established itself in just a few years as one of the most anticipated highlights of the summer music scene in the province of Bari, Puglia.

History and past editions

Conceived in 2021 by architect Vitino Laudadio, who serves as artistic director, NoJazz has built a program of significant prestige over the years. The third edition (2023) was inaugurated by a collaboration between trumpeter Paolo Fresu and Cuban pianist Omar Sosa, joined during the festival by Serena Brancale and Gaetano Partipilo's Boom Collective. The fourth edition (September 2024) hosted Fabrizio Bosso with a tribute to Stevie Wonder, the Sergio Cammariere Quartet, and Rita Marcotulli in a solo piano performance. The fifth edition (August 2025) was dedicated to Pino Daniele, featuring Enzo Avitabile, Chiara Civello, and Joe Barbieri.

The format

The festival offers three nights of concerts, all with free admission, ranging from classic jazz to Mediterranean sounds, singer-songwriter music, and fusions with soul, pop, and world music. The stated goal is to explore the many languages of this extraordinary musical genre through innovative projects and leading artists from the Italian and international scene.
