Jazz and musical fusions in Noicattaro
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
NoJazz is the music festival dedicated to jazz and its fusions that transforms Piazza Umberto I, in the historic center of Noicattaro, into an open-air stage every summer. Promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Noicattaro in collaboration with Bass Culture, the event has established itself in just a few years as one of the most anticipated highlights of the summer music scene in the province of Bari, Puglia.
Conceived in 2021 by architect Vitino Laudadio, who serves as artistic director, NoJazz has built a program of significant prestige over the years. The third edition (2023) was inaugurated by a collaboration between trumpeter Paolo Fresu and Cuban pianist Omar Sosa, joined during the festival by Serena Brancale and Gaetano Partipilo's Boom Collective. The fourth edition (September 2024) hosted Fabrizio Bosso with a tribute to Stevie Wonder, the Sergio Cammariere Quartet, and Rita Marcotulli in a solo piano performance. The fifth edition (August 2025) was dedicated to Pino Daniele, featuring Enzo Avitabile, Chiara Civello, and Joe Barbieri.
The festival offers three nights of concerts, all with free admission, ranging from classic jazz to Mediterranean sounds, singer-songwriter music, and fusions with soul, pop, and world music. The stated goal is to explore the many languages of this extraordinary musical genre through innovative projects and leading artists from the Italian and international scene.
A municipality in the southeastern Bari area known for its table grape production, Noicattaro hosts the festival in the evocative setting of its historic center. For the local community, NoJazz represents a moment of cultural gathering and an opportunity to showcase the town's squares and alleys, bringing great live music to an intimate and welcoming setting.
The 2026 edition of NoJazz in Noicattaro does not yet have official dates. Following the tradition of previous years, the festival is expected to feature three nights of jazz and musical fusions in Piazza Umberto I, with free admission. The lineup and schedule will be announced by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Noicattaro and Bass Culture. We recommend checking the official channels for updates.
Noicattaro is located a few kilometers south of Bari. By car, take the SS16 Adriatica; by train, use the Ferrovie del Sud Est line (Noicattaro station), which connects to Bari. The concerts take place in Piazza Umberto I, in the historic center.
Historically, all festival evenings are free to attend.
