In Nembro — a Municipality in the Seriana Valley, in the Province of Bergamo — the new year opens with music. The New Year's Concert of the Nembro Wind Band is a traditional event that, in the first days of January, brings the community together at the Auditorium Modernissimo for an afternoon of celebration and good music.
The Nembro Wind Band
The protagonist is the Nembro Wind Band, conducted by Maestro Nino Accardi, one of the most vibrant band realities in the Bergamo area. Each year, the concert revolves around a theme or a common thread — as in editions dedicated to musical journeys through Europe — which guides the audience through famous pieces, soundtracks, and band repertoire, in a curated and accessible program for everyone.

Supported by the Municipality of Nembro and with free admission, the New Year's Concert is much more than a musical event: it is the moment when the town in the Seriana Valley comes together to inaugurate the new year, celebrating the work of the band musicians and the band tradition that has accompanied the festivities and community life for generations.
New Year's Concert Nembro — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the New Year's Concert of the Nembro Wind Band, titled "The Europe Express", took place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the Auditorium Modernissimo, from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, presented by Ernani Mazzucchetti. Conducted by Maestro Nino Accardi, the band presented a themed program dedicated to an imaginary musical journey through Europe. The event, supported by the Municipality of Nembro, had free admission.
