Edition 2025 — Fat Ox Fair of Moncalvo
387th edition — December 6-14, 2025
The 2025 edition of the Fat Ox Fair of Moncalvo spanned nine days. On Sunday, December 7, an antique market was held under the Antichi Portici, alongside the opening of stables, wineries, olive groves, and the Civic Museum, as well as the Boiled Meat Festival lunch (33 euros, drinks included). Monday, December 8, featured the 20th Olive Oil Day with masterclasses, a market, and showcooking.
Wednesday, December 10, was the main day: from 7:30 AM, cattle registration and distribution of traditional broth; from 9:30 AM, jury evaluations; at 10:30 AM, the "weight guessing" contest; and at noon, the awards ceremony and parade of winning cattle. The agricultural fair took place in Piazza Carlo Alberto, while the gourmet market was in Piazza Garibaldi. Friday, December 12, hosted the Educational Farm for schools; Sunday, December 14, featured guided tours and the closing lunch.
