Sweet Wines in Volta Mantovana
The National Exhibition of Sweet and Dessert Wines is the event dedicated to sweet and dessert wines, bringing together producers from all over Italy in Volta Mantovana, in the Province of Mantua. The event takes place along the streets of the village and within the spaces of Palazzo Gonzaga, in the heart of the morainic hills.
Tastings and Masterclasses
The program features tastings of sweet and dessert wines from various regions, accompanied by thematic masterclasses and in-depth meetings. The tasting counter is set up in the Scuderie garden, while the palace halls host events for enthusiasts.
Territorial Pairings
The gastronomic heart of the event lies in the pairings with Mantuan specialties: from pumpkin tortelli to traditional desserts, and Mincio sturgeon. The event is complemented by guided tours of Palazzo Gonzaga, workshops for children, and evening entertainment. Organized by the Municipality and Pro Loco Voltese with Coldiretti, ONAV, and Strada dei Vini e Sapori Mantovani.
Sweet and Dessert Wines Exhibition — edition 2026
The 22nd edition of the National Exhibition of Sweet and Dessert Wines takes place in Volta Mantovana from May 1st to 3rd, 2026, opening from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, preceded on Thursday, April 30th, by the inaugural evening "Passiti in Festa" in collaboration with Radio Pico (free admission).
Along the village streets and within the spaces of Palazzo Gonzaga, with a tasting counter in the Scuderie garden, there will be tastings of wines from all over Italy, thematic masterclasses (including "The Breath of the Gods" dedicated to Greek wines), and pairings with Mantuan specialties, from pumpkin tortelli to traditional desserts, and Mincio sturgeon. Also scheduled are free guided tours of Palazzo Gonzaga, workshops for children, quad tours through the hills, and evening entertainment. Organized by the Municipality, Pro Loco Voltese, Coldiretti Mantova, ONAV Mantova, and Strada dei Vini e Sapori Mantovani.

Exhibition open from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Indicative ticket price €15 (includes glass and tasting coupons), €5 reduced (ages 8-17), free for residents and children aged 0-7. Opening evening with free admission.
