Natale sotto le Mura di Cittadella is the grand event for Christmas celebrations that, from late November until Epiphany, lights up the walled city in the province of Padua with lights and atmosphere. The heart of the festival is Piazza Pierobon, where the large Christmas tree and an ice skating rink are set up.
Lights, markets, and fun
Throughout the Christmas period, the historic center is filled with lights and decorations, Christmas markets in dedicated areas, and a children's train that runs through the streets. The medieval city walls, illuminated for the occasion, offer an exceptional setting for walks, shopping, and family moments.

Natale sotto le Mura — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Natale sotto le Mura runs from Saturday, November 21, 2026, to Wednesday, January 6, 2027. The inauguration is scheduled for the afternoon of November 21, at 5:00 PM, with the lighting of the large Christmas tree in Piazza Pierobon and the opening of the ice skating rink. Throughout the Christmas period, the historic center will be filled with lights and decorations, markets in dedicated areas, and a children's train.

How to get there
Cittadella is served by the train station on the Padova–Bassano del Grappa line and by the SP47 Valsugana road. The events take place in Piazza Pierobon and in the historic center.
