The "Winter Flower" IGP celebrated in the heart of the walled city
The Festa del Radicchio Variegato di Castelfranco Veneto IGP is dedicated to one of the most precious products of the Marca trevigiana: the variegated radicchio, nicknamed the "Winter Flower" for its rose-like shape and its cream-white, green, and red mottled colors. The festival is held in the heart of the walled city, in the province of Treviso.
The event is part of the Fiori d'Inverno (Winter Flowers) review and revolves around the exhibition of producers and the award ceremony for the best Radicchio Variegato IGP, which takes place between the Clock Tower and the Duomo. A dedicated exhibition, set up in the Council Hall of the Municipality, and guided tours of the historic center complete the product's valorization.
During the days, it is possible to taste radicchio-based dishes thanks to the collaboration of restaurateurs and the Protection Consortium. The festival is organized by the Pro Loco of Castelfranco Veneto together with the Consorzio Radicchio Variegato, in an event that combines gastronomy, culture, and local identity.
The 2026 edition of the Festa del Radicchio Variegato di Castelfranco Veneto IGP confirms the December event in the heart of the walled city, as part of the Fiori d'Inverno (Winter Flowers) review promoted in the area. The festival returns to celebrate the "Winter Flower" with an exhibition of producers and an award for the best radicchio.
As tradition dictates, a dedicated exhibition in the Council Hall of the Municipality, guided tours of the historic center, and tastings of radicchio-based dishes are planned, thanks to the collaboration between the Pro Loco of Castelfranco Veneto and the Consorzio Radicchio Variegato.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, with dates and times, will be announced by the Pro Loco in the weeks preceding the event. The festival follows the established structure: conference and inauguration of the exhibition, producers' exhibition, award ceremony for the best Radicchio Variegato IGP between the Clock Tower and the Duomo, guided tour of the historic center, and tastings of radicchio-based dishes.
Castelfranco Veneto is reachable by train (lines from Venice, Padua, Treviso, and Bassano del Grappa) and by car from the SR53 Postumia. The festival takes place in the walled center, between Piazza Giorgione, Via Preti, and the Council Hall of the Municipality.
Radicchio-based dishes available at affiliated restaurants and food stands (tastings and sandwiches). Free entry to events in the center.
