The largest exotic animal fair in Southern Italy, held at the Complesso Zeno in Ercolano
Born as a meeting point for enthusiasts and the curious, Napoli Exotic has quickly become the largest fair dedicated to exotic animals in Southern Italy. The event takes place in Ercolano, in the province of Naples, within the Complesso Zeno on Via Trentola II, just minutes from the regional capital and the famous archaeological excavations. Each edition draws over 30,000 visitors, including families, breeders, veterinarians, and curious onlookers.
The fair's stands host a surprising range of species: reptiles and amphibians, snakes and lizards, turtles, tropical birds and birds of prey, small mammals, and insects. Alongside the animals, you will find aquariums and aquascaping tanks, rare and tropical plants, terrariums, and all the specialized equipment needed for those who wish to care for unconventional pets. The event brings together national and international exhibitors, making Ercolano the Italian capital of naturalistic exoticism for an entire weekend.
Napoli Exotic is not just about buying and selling; it is primarily about education. Conferences, expert panels, and hands-on workshops guide visitors through a fascinating world, with a clear message regarding respect for nature and the responsible management of exotic animals. Great attention is paid to families and children, with activities designed to introduce them to the animal and plant world in a safe environment.
Organized in the municipality of Ercolano, the fair is now a benchmark event for the entire Campania region and Southern Italy. The Vesuvius city, world-famous for its UNESCO World Heritage archaeological site, adds an event to its calendar capable of attracting visitors from all over the South. The spring edition is complemented by a second event in the autumn, a sign of the event's constant growth.
The fair is usually held over the weekend, with continuous opening hours from morning to evening. Admission is paid, and tickets can also be purchased online in advance. For updated dates, the full program, and prices, it is recommended to check the official website and the social media channels of Napoli Exotic.
The 2026 edition focused on the integration of fauna and flora, with the new Botanical Exotica section dedicated to rare and tropical plants and the creation of bioactive terrariums. Among the most anticipated events were the free-flight demonstrations of birds of prey with falconer Romeo Vitale and the educational sessions by the Tartapedia association on the proper management of exotic animals. An experience designed to raise public awareness about biodiversity through direct contact and knowledge.
The Complesso Zeno is located on Via Trentola II in Ercolano (NA), just minutes from the Ercolano motorway exit of the A3 Naples-Salerno highway and the Circumvesuviana train station. It can be reached by car from Naples in about 20 minutes.
Paid admission; online pre-booking is recommended. In recent editions, the full-price ticket was €12, and the reduced ticket for children aged 7 to 12 was €9.
An event suitable for families. There are refreshment areas and a large indoor exhibition space.
