A traveling festival of music and contemplation

In 2026, the Music and Spirituality Festival reaches its fourth edition, cementing its status as one of the most original cultural events of the summer in the Verbano-Cusio-Ossola area. Born in 2023 from a desire to bring the extraordinary natural landscapes around Verbania to life, with Lake Maggiore as a backdrop, the festival is a refined, free-entry boutique event, conceived and organized by the Kunpen Lama Gangchen - NgalSo Dharma Centre in Albagnano di Bee.

The art of encounter

The heart of the event is what the organizers call the 'art of encounter': each evening combines an acoustic musical performance with a conversation between the artist and journalist Pierfrancesco Pacoda, focusing on spirituality as a relationship with a non-material dimension. An intimate and profound format, far from the big stages, that invites the audience to listen and reflect in places rich in meaning: churchyards, porticos, villas, and temples nestled in the landscape of the Cusio and Ossola valleys.

The Baveno event

The Municipality of Baveno, overlooking the Piedmontese shore of Lake Maggiore in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, hosts one of the most anticipated stops. On Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, at 9:00 PM, the Piazza della Chiesa — the churchyard of the Church of Saints Gervasius and Protasius — welcomes Massimo Zamboni, a central figure of the Italian rock scene, with his performance Bestiario selvatico, a theatrical reading based on his latest book. The evening opens with a conversation between the artist and Pierfrancesco Pacoda, followed by the live set. In case of bad weather, the event will move to the Nostr@domus Cultural Centre.

A widespread program across the territory

The fourth edition runs from July 3rd to August 6th, 2026, touching various municipalities in the VCO area. Announced dates include:

All festival events are strictly free of charge, with the patronage of the City of Baveno. A precious opportunity to experience great singer-songwriter music in a setting of rare beauty, among the traditions and landscapes of the Piedmontese Lake Maggiore.
