A feast at altitude for the Assumption
The Sagra al Muciòn (in Italian Mucchione) takes place on Ferragosto on the panoramic Mucchione hill, which overlooks the territory between Valdagno and Schio, in the province of Vicenza. It is the traditional feast of the Assumption, linked to the small chapel of Mucchione, and represents one of the most cherished summer events for the Valdagno community.
Devotion and community
The event is organized by the Movimento Cristiano Lavoratori in collaboration with the pastoral units of Magrè and Monte Magrè and with the patronage of the Municipalities of Valdagno and Schio. The religious moment is central: on the morning of the Assumption, mass is celebrated, followed in the afternoon by the solemn mass with procession.
Gastronomy, music, and children
The food stand opens from 6:30 PM, while the evenings come alive with live music, creative workshops for children, and traditional ballroom dancing with an orchestra. Amidst walks, outings, and conviviality, the Sagra al Muciòn is a simple and authentic popular festival, immersed in the green hills of Vicenza.

The Sagra al Muciòn 2026 will return on Ferragosto to the Mucchione hill, between Valdagno and Schio (VI), continuing the tradition of the Feast of the Assumption at the homonymous chapel.
The organization remains entrusted to the Movimento Cristiano Lavoratori with the pastoral units of Magrè and Monte Magrè. The exact dates and the full musical program for the 2026 edition will be published by the Municipality of Valdagno in the weeks preceding the festival.

How to get there
The Mucchione hill is located between Valdagno and Schio (VI). It can be reached from the hillside roads that climb from Magrè di Schio or from Valdagno; the last stretches are suitable for walking. Comfortable shoes are recommended for those who wish to walk up to the chapel.
