The city as a grand theatre of arts and music
Monza Visionaria is the grand multidisciplinary festival of Monza, the capital of Brianza, which for ten days transforms the city into a widespread theatre of arts and music. Conceived by the association Musicamorfosi and curated by Saul Beretta, the festival intertwines different genres and languages, bringing concerts, performances, and installations to the most evocative locations in the area.
The program is rich and varied: concerts ranging from classical to jazz, folk to reggae and tango, performances, light and sound installations, guided night tours, and musical readings. Each edition revolves around a theme that acts as a common thread, exploring the relationship between music, spirituality, and beauty. The festival venues are an integral part of the experience: the Royal Villa, the Court Theatre, the churches of the historic centre, and outdoor spaces.
Among the most anticipated moments are the Nocturnes, the concluding evenings where the gardens and rose gardens of the Royal Villa come alive until late at night with scattered performances, dance, and music, often enhanced by spectacular video mapping. Monza Visionaria is a festival that turns the city into an immersive stage, capable of combining high culture and a magical atmosphere. For Monza and Brianza, it is one of the most important cultural events of the year.
The 2026 edition of Monza Visionaria is the fourteenth and runs from May 7th to 17th on the theme "Sing, Pray, Love", chosen by artistic director Saul Beretta. Ten days of concerts, performances, light and sound installations, musical readings, and guided night tours between the Royal Villa, the Court Theatre, and the churches of Monza's historic centre.
