A week of conferences, exhibitions, and landscape culture at the Royal Villa
Monza Landscape Week is the event that dedicates an entire week to landscape culture, with the Royal Villa of Monza as its beating heart. In the capital of Brianza, the event brings together scholars, experts, and citizens for a broad reflection on landscape as a natural, historical, and cultural heritage to be known and valued.
The program is very rich: over forty panels including conferences, studies, and evening shows animate the Royal Villa, addressing themes ranging from visual arts to philosophy, from urban planning to environmental psychology, up to the major issues of landscape promotion and climate change. Alongside scientific events, photographic exhibitions, guided tours, outdoor workshops, installations, and walks invite visitors to rediscover Monza and its landscapes in a direct and participatory way.
Each year, the event revolves around a central theme that serves as a common thread throughout the program. The initiatives are not limited to the Royal Villa but extend into the territory with permanent events, involving symbolic places like the Lambro River. Monza Landscape Week thus combines the academic and the educational dimensions, offering a wide audience opportunities for in-depth study and discovery. For Monza and Brianza, it is an event that enhances the landscape identity of the territory.
The 2026 edition of Monza Landscape Week is the third and runs from May 22nd to 29th, with previews from May 22nd and the main program from May 25th to 29th. The central theme is water as a vital element of landscape, urban history, and environmental transformations. The heart of the event is the Royal Villa, with over 40 panels of conferences, studies, and shows, complemented by 13 permanent initiatives throughout the territory.
