Month of Youth

Fifty Years of Oratory Celebrations

The Month of Youth is one of the most deeply rooted events in the life of Valmadrera, a town in the province of Lecco overlooking Lake Como. Organized by the oratory's youth with the support of numerous volunteers, it spans throughout late spring, transforming the parish spaces into a place for meeting, gathering, and fun open to the entire community.

Sports, Music, and Conviviality

The program alternates between sports tournaments (from inflatable soccer to evening tournaments), live concerts, dancing evenings with orchestras and dance schools, events dedicated to social issues, and plenty of conviviality. The oratory's refreshment stand remains open for the entire duration of the event, with a "giropizza" (all-you-can-eat pizza) formula on some evenings, animated by volunteer pizza makers.

A Sign of the Community

Over the decades, the Month of Youth has become much more than a summer festival: it is a concrete sign of the oratory's active presence in the Valmadrera area, capable of uniting different generations and involving hundreds of people each year, including young people, families, and volunteers from the Lombardy Region.
