The parade of floats and masks in the heart of the Val d'Alpone
The Children's Carnival is one of the most beloved events of the winter in Montecchia di Crosara, in the province of Verona, in the heart of the Val d'Alpone. The festival transforms the village streets into a grand procession of colors, music, and joy.
The allegorical floats and masks gather in Via Trieste and parade along the streets of the center, led by the G. Verdi Band of Montecchia di Crosara and San Giovanni Ilarione, which sets the rhythm for the procession. Along the route, there are food stalls with seasonal specialties.
At the end of the parade, the most beautiful masks and floats are awarded, with particular attention to the youngest participants, the true stars of the day. Organized by the Pro Loco of Montecchia di Crosara with the Municipality, the Children's Carnival is a tradition that involves the entire community.
