Two nights of live music, craft beer, and street food in Monte San Giovanni Campano
Monte Music Malto is the event that, at the end of June, transforms Via Valle in Monte San Giovanni Campano into a large open-air party space. Born from the initiative of the ODV 03025 volunteer association—whose name is taken from the town's postal code—the event takes place with the patronage of the Municipality of Monte San Giovanni Campano and has quickly established itself as one of the most popular evenings in the summer calendar of the province of Frosinone.
The formula is simple and proven: two consecutive nights, a stage with live bands, DJ sets that continue until late at night, craft beer taps, and a long line of street food stalls. All with free admission, a choice championed by the organizers as a sign of openness towards the entire community and visitors from neighboring towns.
The musical program favors rock and danceable sounds, with local bands and tribute acts alternating on stage. Live performances are followed by DJ sets designed to accompany the audience through the second part of the evening: the recurring choice is a popular and recognizable repertoire, from the nineties to the most recent hits. There is no shortage of side entertainment, such as the fire shows that light up the concert area late at night.
The second pillar of the event is craft beer, poured directly in the event area and offered in several styles. Surrounding the taps is the gastronomic offering: Street Food & Drink stalls with grab-and-go specialties, street food, and options designed for all tastes. The organizers pay particular attention to inclusivity, with 100% vegan stalls and gluten-free stations, so that no one is left out of the party.
The combination of these services makes Monte Music Malto an evening suitable for groups of friends and families alike, with an audience that refreshes throughout the night.
Monte San Giovanni Campano is located in southern Lazio, in the province of Frosinone, on a hill overlooking the Liri Valley. The town is best known for its medieval castle, where, according to tradition, the young Thomas Aquinas was held prisoner by his family, who were opposed to his religious vocation: a story that has made the village a well-known stop on the historical itineraries of the Ciociaria region.
The municipal territory, divided into numerous hamlets, maintains a strong bond with agricultural production and community life: festivals, patronal feasts, and events organized by local volunteers mark the summer and represent the main meeting point for the inhabitants. Monte Music Malto fits perfectly into this tradition, updating it with a more contemporary language—that of craft beer and live music—without losing the character of a village festival.
Those visiting the Ciociaria region at the end of June can combine the evening at Monte Music Malto with a day dedicated to the village and its surroundings: the castle, the views over the valley, and the local cuisine, including homemade pasta, grilled meats, and typical products. The free and informal nature of the event makes it an excellent starting point to get to know the town and its community.
The weekend of June 26 and 27, 2026 brought the new edition of Monte Music Malto to Via Valle in Monte San Giovanni Campano, organized by the ODV 03025 association with the patronage of the Municipality. Two consecutive evenings dedicated to live music, craft beer, and street food, with completely free admission.
The first evening, Friday, June 26th, opened with a concert by Go GO Godzilla, followed by entertainment from DJ Lo Biondo and a fire show that lit up the event area. Saturday, June 27th featured The Baron's on stage, followed by Love90 – DJ set Fabio Progress, a dive into the nineties that lasted until late at night.
Surrounding the stage were Street Food & Drink stalls, with 100% vegan and gluten-free options to ensure maximum inclusivity, along with craft beer taps. For families, an equipped kids' area and a convenient shuttle service to the festival area were available.
The event area is set up on Via Valle, in Monte San Giovanni Campano (FR), in Lazio. A shuttle service is available to reach the area, avoiding the need to look for parking in the center.
By car: take the Frosinone exit on the A1 Milan-Naples motorway, then the expressway towards Sora; Monte San Giovanni Campano is about 15 km from Frosinone. By train: Frosinone station on the Rome-Cassino-Naples line, then take a local bus or taxi.
Free admission for everyone, no reservation required. The evenings take place at night and continue with DJ sets until late.
Vegan and gluten-free stalls are available, along with an equipped kids' area. Comfortable clothing is recommended: the area is outdoors and late June evenings can be cool.
