Reaching its 30th edition in 2026, the memorial was born from the desire to remember Monia Franciosi and transform that memory into a concrete act of solidarity: all proceeds from the event are donated to AIL Modena OdV, the association that supports research against leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma, and assists cancer patients and their families.

The heart of the event is the "I Campetti" sports area, located at Via Raffaello Sanzio 34. Here, for several evenings in June, tournaments and activities that have made the event's history take place: the Memorial is best known for being one of the most followed and participated women's 5-a-side football tournaments in the area, joined over the years by men's tournaments, beach volleyball, and other sports. Live music, shows, and great conviviality surround the fields.
Good food every evening
Alongside sports, gastronomy is one of the strong points: the restaurant is open every evening during the scheduled days, serving traditional Emilian dishes prepared by volunteers. Eating and drinking at "I Campetti" means contributing directly to the cause, as every donation goes towards fundraising.
A fundraising effort that makes a difference
The value of the Monia Franciosi Memorial is not just symbolic: in its first twenty-four editions, the event had already raised and donated over 270,000 euros to AIL Modena. A result built edition after edition thanks to the volunteers, teams, and the public who return to Novi every year.

The event traditionally falls around June 21st, the National Day for the Fight against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma, a period when AIL is particularly active throughout the country.
