Möltner Knödelbuffet

The 2025 edition of the Möltner Knödelbuffet took place as tradition dictates in the square of Mölten, in the province of Bolzano. At the open-air buffet, the local Bäuerinnen served a wide selection of hand-prepared dumplings: speck, spinach, cheese, porcini mushrooms, and chanterelles, in addition to delicious sweet versions with apricots and strawberries accompanied by vanilla sauce, all complemented by fruit juices from local farms. The festival, organized by the Mölten Tourist Association, combined good peasant cooking with live brass band music and traditional dances, confirming the Knödelbuffet as one of the most beloved gastronomic events of the summer on the Salten plateau.
