Edition 2025 — Midsummer Polenta Festival

In 2025, the Midsummer Polenta Festival in Pettorano sul Gizio featured a double appointment: Tuesday, August 5, and, due to popular demand, Tuesday, August 26, starting at 12:00 PM in Piazza Rosario Zannelli. Chef Michele Ciccolella's Ristorante Il Torchio offered polenta in three thematic versions—mountain, sea, and land—accompanied by sweet and savory crustole, selected wines, and ratafia.

Midsummer Polenta Festival 2025

The 2025 edition took place over two dates: Tuesday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 26, 2025, starting at 12:00 PM in Piazza Rosario Zannelli in Pettorano sul Gizio (AQ). Following the success of the first date, Ristorante Il Torchio repeated the initiative at the end of the month.

The star was the polenta by chef Michele Ciccolella in mountain versions (white with bacon and pecorino, or red with lamb sauce and pecorino), sea (octopus sauce, or cod and saffron), and land (mushrooms or mugnoli with garlic, oil, and chili). Completing the offering were sweet and savory crustole, selected wines, and ratafia, in a convivial atmosphere that drew residents and tourists to the heart of the Peligna summer.
