The Mid-August Lake Fireworks are one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Molveno, in the heart of the Trentino-Alto Adige region. Every year, on the evening of August 15th, the shores of the famous Lake Molveno transform into an open-air theater to host a firework display lasting about half an hour, drawing a large crowd from well beyond the local area.

The magic of this event lies in its setting: the alpine lake's surface, framed by the Brenta Dolomites, reflects the explosions of light and color, doubling the visual impact. It is considered one of the most fascinating pyrotechnic shows of the Trentino tourist season.

Where and when

The show takes place in the Pozze area, near the beach on the shores of Lake Molveno, generally starting around 9:30 PM. The event is free and open to the public: many spectators choose to settle on the beach with a towel or blanket, while the terraces of the hotels overlooking the lake offer prime viewing spots.

Ferragosto day in Molveno

The fireworks are the highlight of a long day of festivities. In the same beach area, the Molveno Volunteer Firefighters host the traditional Ferragosto celebration with food and drink services throughout the day, music, games, and entertainment for all ages. It is a social occasion that brings together residents and tourists alike until the evening show begins.
