The race that crosses the heart of the violin city
The Cremona Half Marathon is the running event that brings thousands of runners and enthusiasts to race through the streets and squares of the historic center of Cremona, in Lombardy. Organized by Triathlon Cremona Stradivari with the patronage of the Municipality, it is an event that combines the competitiveness of the race with the popular and family dimension of non-competitive runs.
The event offers three routes: the competitive half marathon of 21.097 km (red bibs), valid as a FIDAL race; the non-competitive StraCremona of 10 km (blue bibs); and the Family Run of 6 km (yellow bibs), open to families and walkers. An inclusive formula that allows experienced runners, amateurs, and families to experience the festive day together.
The route starts in front of the Teatro Ponchielli, crosses Piazza Stradivari and the historic center, passing by the Church of San Michele and the Violin Museum, reaching the Bosco ex Parmigiano area. An itinerary that also makes running a journey through the artistic and cultural heritage of Cremona, a UNESCO World Heritage city of violin making.
The Cremona Half Marathon is more than just a race: it's an opportunity to experience the city in a sporting context, involving runners from all over Italy and the entire community of the Province of Cremona. An event that intertwines sport, participation, and territorial enhancement, destined to become a regular fixture on the Lombardy running calendar.
