The "L'Europa in Prato" European Market is the Padua stop of the great travelling European market organised by FIVA Confcommercio. The choice of location is no coincidence: Prato della Valle, the majestic oval square of Padua, offers the ideal space and atmosphere to welcome the comings and goings of an international market. For three days, around 120 vendors transform the square into a showcase of flavours and products from every corner of Europe and the world.
Flavours from across the continent
The heart of the event is international street food: from Belgian waffles to Dutch mini-crêpes, from Czech sweet bread to Spanish churros, from German sausages to Sicilian arancini, to Argentinian grilled meat, Catalan paella, and specialities from Mexico and Brazil. There's no shortage of Italian regional excellences — Tuscany, Abruzzo, Piedmont, Puglia — in a carefully studied balance between foreign and local offerings.
Not just food: crafts and curiosities
Alongside taste, the stalls offer quality crafts and products: ceramics, costume jewellery, Irish gadgets, spices from around the world, natural cosmetics, pop-art prints and paintings, bicycle accessories. With free admission and a location in the heart of the city, "L'Europa in Prato" is a stroll through different cultures and flavours, an eagerly awaited event that brings a taste of all of Europe to Padua.
L'Europa in Prato — edition 2026
The "L'Europa in Prato" European Market returns to Padua from May 31 to June 2, 2026, in Prato della Valle, for its 21st edition. Around 120 vendors will liven up the square with international street food — from Belgian waffles to Dutch mini-crêpes, Czech sweet bread to Spanish churros, German sausages to Sicilian arancini, as well as Argentinian grilled meat, Catalan paella, and specialities from Mexico and Brazil. Italian regional excellences are also featured — Tuscany, Abruzzo, Piedmont, Puglia — in a balance between foreign and local offerings.
Organised by FIVA Confcommercio Padova, the event also features crafts and quality products, confirming itself as a tasty and curious stroll through the continent's cultures, with free admission in the heart of the city.
