The Meet Festival in Corneto di Toano

The Meet Festival is a summer music and food event held in Corneto, a small hamlet in the Municipality of Toano, in the Reggiano Apennines of Emilia-Romagna. The event takes place in the village's sports field, in front of the parish church, in a panoramic position overlooking the middle Secchia valley.

A new festival that picks up a historic legacy

The Meet Festival was born in 2025 from the initiative of the young people of the Corneto community and surrounding areas, who wanted to keep the convivial tradition of the village alive after the conclusion of the historic Festa dell'Agricoltura (Agricultural Festival). The latter, for over forty years, had been one of the most beloved and attended events of the Apennine summer, featuring music, vintage tractor gatherings, agricultural games, the world of Parmigiano Reggiano, and a grand fireworks display visible from half the mountainside. "It's not an end, but a new beginning": with these words, the young organizers presented the Meet Festival as an evolution, not a cancellation, of the village festival.

Music, DJ sets, and good food

The Meet Festival's formula focuses on an evening of outdoor celebration: concerts and DJ sets alternate on stage, while the food area offers pizza, piadine, and takeaway dishes of local tradition. The young and energetic atmosphere makes the festival a meeting point for the hamlet's residents and visitors from neighboring municipalities, in a simple and authentic setting of the Reggiano Apennines.

Corneto is a hamlet of Toano nestled in the green Apennines, not far from Cavola. The village's event calendar is full of appointments throughout the year, from the Morel Festival in spring to the Historical Re-enactment of San Martino in autumn: the Meet Festival represents the heart of summer, the occasion when the community comes together to celebrate conviviality and a passion for music and good food.
