MECSPE, the technological heart of Italian industry

In 2026, reaching its 24th edition, MECSPE is the most important Italian trade fair dedicated to the manufacturing sector. Hosted in the pavilions of BolognaFiere, in the Municipality of Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna, it brings together over 2,000 exhibiting companies from Italy and abroad each year across approximately 92,000 square meters of exhibition space, confirming itself as a strategic meeting point for the entire country's production chain.

Thirteen halls for the entire supply chain

The event is organized into 13 synergistic thematic halls, designed to cover every area of industrial production. Among the represented sectors:

Three directions: training, digitalization, sustainability

MECSPE's program is structured around three strategic macro-themes: the training of new skills, digitalization in the spirit of Industry 5.0, and the sustainability of production. Alongside the exhibition stands, the fair offers a packed schedule of conferences, technical workshops, round tables with international institutions and experts, as well as numerous special initiatives and live demonstrations of the most advanced technologies.

MECSPE LAB and demonstration areas

Among the most visited spaces is MECSPE LAB – Innovation Space, an area of about 2,000 square meters dedicated to enabling technologies, applied artificial intelligence and robotics solutions, and projects shaping the factory of the future. The demonstration areas allow visitors to see machinery and production processes in action under real conditions.

Primarily reserved for operators, technicians, entrepreneurs, and buyers in the sector, MECSPE represents a unique opportunity in Bologna and for the entire Emilia-Romagna region to connect with the Italian and European markets, discover technological innovations, and build new supply chain relationships. The previous edition attracted over 66,000 professional visitors, confirming the event's central role in the national industrial landscape.
