The Carnival that brings the Marconi district to life

The Marconi Carnival Parade has become one of the most anticipated events of the Roman Carnival in Municipio XI, in the heart of the popular Marconi district. Every year, the event draws thousands of participants who fill the streets between the Santi Aquila e Priscilla parish and the banks of the Tiber, creating one of the most vibrant and well-attended local festivals in southwest Rome.

A masterfully crafted parade

The parade is a colorful display animated by professional artists: actors dressed as giant puppets, mask-bearers, street performers, live bands, and scenic carts accompany the procession along the entire route. There is no shortage of music, entertainment, jugglers, cotton candy, and confetti, in a festive atmosphere designed to engage children, teenagers, families, and adults alike. Participation is completely free and open to all ages.

The route along the Tiber

The procession kicks off at 105 Via Pietro Blaserna, in front of the Santi Aquila e Priscilla parish, and winds through the district's streets: Via Marcolongo, Via Enrico Fermi, and Lungotevere di Pietra Papa, ending at the entrance of Parco Tevere Marconi. This itinerary invites citizens to reclaim public spaces, transforming the neighborhood into a large open-air stage.

A community project

Organized by the LiFra cultural association with the patronage of the Rome XI Municipality, the parade was created with the goal of building strong bonds and collaboration between local associations, institutions, schools, and families. More than just an event, the Marconi Carnival is a community project that grows every year, involving an increasing number of local entities and establishing itself as a deeply rooted tradition in the district's social fabric.
