Albissola, heart of the Ceramic Bay

Albissola Marina (Province of Savona), with its famous blue maiolica and artist village, is one of the hubs of the Maiolica Festival, the event that unites the four municipalities of the "Ceramic Bay" — Savona, Albisola Superiore, Albissola Marina, and Celle Ligure. Organized by the Fondazione Museo della Ceramica di Savona, the festival reaches its fourth edition in 2026, on the theme of artist gardens.

The White and Blue Dinner and the Antiques Market

The most spectacular event in Albissola Marina is the White and Blue Dinner (June 5), a collective outdoor dinner where participants bring ceramic pieces inspired by Ligurian maiolica, dressing in the symbolic colors of the Albissola tradition. The program also includes the national conference on the archives of ceramic companies (June 6) and the market for antiques and modern ceramics (June 7).

Major Exhibitions

Among the twelve festival exhibitions spread across the four municipalities, the exhibition "Fuoco Ritrovato" by Ugo Nespolo stands out in Albissola Marina (from May 30 to September 6). An opportunity to immerse yourself in the history and contemporary vitality of a village that has attracted great artists of the 20th century, within one of Italy's most important ceramic districts.
