About Magenta Jazz Festival

Active since 1998, the Magenta Jazz Festival is one of the longest-running jazz events in the province of Milan. The Summer Edition brings three evenings of live music with Italian and international artists to Magenta, an event that over the years has hosted hundreds of musicians with original projects. Organized by the Municipality with the artistic direction of the Maxentia Big Band, it confirms Magenta's vocation as the City of Music.

A historic review of Lombard jazz

Born in 1998, the Magenta Jazz Festival has established itself as a unique event in the panorama of the Province of Milan and Lombardy for the continuity and quality of its artistic offerings. Over the years, the festival has brought hundreds of musicians to the city stages, representing the great names of Italian and international jazz, each with original projects.

The Summer Edition

The Summer Edition is the summer heart of the festival: three evenings of concerts that liven up Magenta in June. Admission is free until seats are filled, and in case of bad weather, the shows are moved to the Teatro Lirico, ensuring the regular continuation of the program.

Magenta, City of Music

The festival is organized by the Municipal Administration of Magenta with the artistic direction of the Maxentia Big Band Cultural Association, a group that is also a symbol of the city's vibrant musical scene. It is precisely because of this vitality that Magenta has obtained the designation of *City of Music*, and the Jazz Festival is one of its most recognized expressions, capable of attracting a loyal audience edition after edition.
