Macaria 2025 in Terrasini
The 2025 edition of Macaria - Pasta Festival took place from October 31 to November 2 on the Peppino Impastato Seafront and the Piazzale del Mediterraneo in Terrasini, in the province of Palermo, over the All Saints' Day weekend.
The program brought together cooking shows with Sicilian chefs, tastings, an exhibition area dedicated to artisanal pasta makers, workshops for children, talks with experts, and evening concerts overlooking the sea. The focus on ancient Sicilian grains — Tumminia, Perciasacchi, Russello, and Maiorca — and the island's dry pasta, including historic shapes like Trapani-style busiata and Corleone-style lasagna, was confirmed. A free and widespread event that attracted a large audience, consolidating Terrasini as the Sicilian capital of pasta.
