Live music and street food in the Sciarotta district of Bronte
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The M'Arricrio Music Fest & Street Food is one of the youngest and most lively events in the summer calendar of Bronte, a town in the Province of Catania famous for its pistachios and nestled on the western slopes of Mount Etna. The name itself, in the Sicilian dialect, evokes the joy of fully savoring the moment: m'arricrio literally means "I'm enjoying myself," reflecting the popular and convivial spirit of a festival designed for both the local neighborhood and visitors from afar.
The festival brings the Sciarotta district to life, located in the area of Bronte's weekly market. This spacious and easily accessible area is transformed for the occasion with a main stage, food stalls, and vendors. Choosing a popular neighborhood rather than the historic center is part of the event's identity, promoted under the motto "Cities without suburbs" to bring events and music beyond the city heart, both in Sicily and across the Etna region.
The heart of the event is live music, with a diverse lineup alternating between reggae and hip-hop groups, DJ sets, 90s hit revivals, and big names from the Sicilian neomelodic scene. Beside the stage, you will find the street food area, featuring typical Sicilian specialties and street cuisine from all over Italy, craft beer, and an amusement park that makes the festival perfect for families and children.
The event is organized by the volunteer association A.Vo.Te.Am. (Volontari Team) in collaboration with the "Cittร senza periferie" (Cities without suburbs) project, under the patronage of the Municipality of Bronte. The initiative combines entertainment with a charitable cause, with lottery proceeds supporting the association's local activities. For visitors, M'Arricrio is the ideal opportunity to discover the authentic, popular atmosphere of an Etna town in Sicily, amidst music, flavors, and Sicilian hospitality.
The inaugural edition was held on the first weekend of September. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been officially announced by the organizers: we recommend following the festival's social media channels for the updated program.
