Puglia's first immersive light park, located at the Belloluogo Park in Lecce
Lumina World – The Park of Wonders of Light is the first immersive experience of its kind in Puglia. It is hosted at Belloluogo Park, one of Lecce's most beloved green spaces, which lights up at dusk to welcome visitors of all ages into an enchanted path. Produced by the company XCUBE3D and supported by the Puglia Region as part of the POC 2021-2027 Fund, the event blends art, technology, and imagination.
The central theme of this edition is Aquarius, dedicated to the marine world and the Mediterranean. Upon entering, visitors are immersed in a seabed recreated with handcrafted giant lanterns and painted scenery: a ten-meter-wide octopus, sea turtles, dolphins, and glowing seahorses populate the park. Highlights include the Coral Tunnel, the Garden of Abyssal Lanterns, the Avenue of Light Jellyfish, the Mermaid's Cave, and the geodesic dome of the Pixel Coral Bay.
The beating heart of the evening is the Arena of Wonders, where a different show takes place daily, featuring 3D projections, dance mapping, and live performances. Completing the magic is a stunning video mapping projection on the Belloluogo Tower, an ancient medieval tower overlooking the park, which bridges Salento's historical heritage with cutting-edge lighting technology.
Lumina World is designed as an evening stroll suitable for all ages: alongside the light trail, there is a dedicated children's area, a street food zone, and a lounge bar featuring concerts and musical moments. Capacity is limited to approximately two thousand visitors per night to ensure a peaceful and engaging experience.
The choice of Belloluogo Park is no coincidence: the area, with its 14th-century tower and green spaces, is a symbol of identity for the city of Lecce and all of Puglia. With Lumina World, the Municipality and the Region have sought to enhance this site, transforming it for a season into a tourist and emotional destination that combines wonder, family time, and the discovery of the Salento territory.
The inaugural edition of Lumina World has brought a major immersive light park to Puglia for the first time. From April 25 to July 12, 2026, Belloluogo Park in Lecce has lit up every weekend with giant lanterns, LED installations, and scenery dedicated to the marine world. The event, produced by XCUBE3D and supported by the Puglia Region, combined art, technology, and family entertainment in an evening trail with great visual impact.
