The Patron Saints of Luino
Luino in Festa is the patronal feast dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, patrons of Luino, a town on Lake Maggiore in the province of Varese. The event, deeply rooted in the town's tradition, combines religious, popular, and spectacular elements, animating the lakeside promenade on one of the most anticipated days of the Luino summer.
The Rowing Palio
Among the most characteristic events is the Rowing Palio, a boat competition where town teams compete in heats and an evening final. The races start in the late afternoon and culminate with the night-time final, under the eyes of the crowd gathered on the promenade.
Faith, Celebration, and Fireworks
The day also includes Holy Mass and a procession dedicated to the patrons, moments of music and DJ sets, and concludes with a grand fireworks display lasting about twenty minutes on the lake's waters. A spectacular finale that draws residents and tourists, sealing Luino's community celebration between tradition, sport, and entertainment.

The 2026 edition of Luino in Festa is held on Saturday, June 27, for the patronal feast of Saints Peter and Paul. The day culminates on the lakeside promenade with the Rowing Palio, religious celebrations, DJ sets, and the grand fireworks display on Lake Maggiore. In case of bad weather, all events are postponed to Sunday, June 28.

- 6:00 PM — Start of Rowing Palio races (heats with three teams each)
- 9:00 PM — Rowing Palio final (three boats)
- Holy Mass and procession dedicated to SS. Peter and Paul
- DJ set and entertainment
- Fireworks display of about 20 minutes on the lake (by Pozzi Franco Srl of Bergamo)
In case of bad weather, postponement to Sunday, June 28.
