Lucanian Asparagus Festival

A Festival-Experience in the Heart of Lucania

In Satriano di Lucania, in the Province of Potenza, the Lucanian Asparagus Festival is presented in an original way: not a simple tasting, but a full day organized by Eventi Green in collaboration with the tour operator Ivy Tour, specializing in experiences in the Lucanian territory. The absolute protagonist is the wild asparagus, a spontaneous product of the Val Melandro countryside, with an intense and slightly bitter flavor.

From Harvest to Table

In the morning, participants can choose between the wild asparagus hunt in the fields and woods, accompanied by local experts, or a guided tour of the archaeological site and museum of Torre di Satriano. Midday, you reach the Fattoria Bio, a local organic farm, before lunch: a complete menu entirely built around asparagus, served at an agriturismo, with drinks included and strictly seasonal, zero-km products.

The Village of Murals

In the afternoon, a guided tour of the famous murals of Satriano is scheduled, dozens of paintings covering the facades of the historic center, telling stories of Lucanian trades, legends, and peasant life. Those who wish can add the experience of the Ponte alla Luna (Bridge to the Moon), the suspended Tibetan bridge offering a breathtaking view of the valley.

A Green Event

The event boasts the qualification of a "Green" event: no single-use plastic, attention to sustainability, and enhancement of local products. Places are limited (one hundred per date) to ensure an authentic experience in direct contact with the Lucanian countryside.
