Edition 2025 — Lo Pan Ner
The tenth edition of Lo Pan Ner - I Pani delle Alpi relit, on October 18 and 19, 2025, as many as 66 ovens spread across 49 municipalities in Valle d'Aosta, mobilizing around 800 volunteers. The event confirmed its cross-border vocation, networking communities from Valle d'Aosta, Piedmont, Lombardy, the Cantons of Grisons and Valais, and French Savoy.
The concluding event was held on Sunday, October 19, in Arnad, at the La Queyaz location, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring an exhibition of the breads in competition, baking demonstrations, rye milling, a food and wine market, workshops for children, guided tours of the village, and a show cooking with guest of honor pastry chef Tommaso Foglia, who presented a dessert based on rye flour. The day concluded with the awards ceremony for the competing breads.
Programme
Sunday, October 19 — Arnad, La Queyaz (10:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
- Exhibition of rye breads from the competing ovens
- Demonstration of preparation and baking in wood-fired ovens, with the opportunity to knead
- Live rye milling
- Display of agricultural tools and traditional utensils
- Food and wine market and refreshment stands
- Demonstration of ancient crafts and workshops for children
- 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM — Guided tours of the village
- 3:30 PM — Show cooking with pastry chef Tommaso Foglia
- 6:00 PM — Awards ceremony for the competing breads
