Trabuchello and Saint Margaret

In the Municipality of Isola di Fondra, in the upper Brembana Valley (Province of Bergamo), the hamlet of Trabuchello houses the church of Saint Margaret of Antioch, the main place of worship for the community. Elevated to a parish in 1610 after separation from the parish of San Lorenzo Martire, the church is now part of the united parish of Saints Margaret and Lawrence. The patronal feast of the hamlet is dedicated to the saint.

The feast on the second Sunday of September

The feast of Saint Margaret is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of September. The heart of the day is religious: the holy mass in the church of Trabuchello, at 11:00 AM, followed in the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, by the procession with the statue of the patron saint through the village streets. It is the moment when the small mountain community comes together, often enriched by the return of those who are connected to these places.
