A week of events and the big parade for LGBTQIA+ community rights
Liguria Pride is the most important event in Liguria for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. Promoted by Coordinamento Liguria Rainbow, it animates Genoa every year with a week of cultural and political initiatives that culminate in the grand city parade, a moment of celebration and advocacy that fills the streets of the center.
For eight days, the Giardini Luzzati, in the heart of the historic center, hosts the Liguria Pride Village: over fifty events including meetings, debates, shows, and cultural events, making the area a focal point for the community and the city. The talks address contemporary issues, from the relationship between masculinity and warmongering to ecofeminism, from care and healthcare as political spaces to neocolonialism. The Village Kids program, with initiatives dedicated to children, is also confirmed.
The highlight is the city parade on Saturday, June 13th. Gathering is scheduled for 3 PM in via San Benedetto, with the parade starting at 4 PM, arriving at Piazza De Ferrari, where the final speech summarizing the 2026 Political Manifesto will be held. A colorful river of people, floats, and music that crosses the center of Genoa in an atmosphere of celebration and participation.
The guiding theme for the 2026 edition is "That time when fear was everywhere. And we thought again of a storm", a political reflection that runs through the entire program. More than just a party, Liguria Pride is a space for political and cultural elaboration that opens up to the city, reaffirming the commitment to equality and rights for all.
