A city-wide celebration centered around books
In Ronchi dei Legionari, in the province of Gorizia, spring opens with a focus on reading with Librinfesta, the literary festival that in 2026 will reach its tenth edition. Founded to bring books to the center of city life, it has become over the years a well-established and anticipated event on the cultural scene of eastern Friuli.
The heart of the event is the Palatenda set up in Parco Excelsior, on Via Roma, but the festival extends throughout the city with cultural walks, guided tours, and widespread activities.
Encounters with great authors
Librinfesta attracts leading names in Italian literature and culture. Among the guests of recent editions are names like Donato Carrisi, Piero Dorfles, Oscar Farinetti, Daniele Novara, Michela Marzano, Daria Bignardi, and Mauro Corona: writers, journalists, and communicators who engage with the public in often free-entry events.
Workshops, performances, and walks
The program is not limited to author encounters: it includes workshops for children and teenagers, theatrical performances, readings, exhibitions, and guided cultural walks to discover the historical sites of the city and the surrounding area. Organized by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Ronchi dei Legionari, in collaboration with schools and local cultural organizations, Librinfesta promotes reading as a tool for personal and collective growth, strengthening the city's cultural role. The 10th edition
Librinfesta returns to Ronchi dei Legionari from April 10th to 18th, 2026, at the Palatenda in Parco Excelsior on Via Roma, for its tenth edition. The festival offers about fifteen author encounters and numerous side events.
Among the announced guests are Donato Carrisi, Piero Dorfles, Oscar Farinetti, Daniele Novara, Michela Marzano, Daria Bignardi, and Mauro Corona (expected on April 18th along with Marianna Corona). The program is completed by workshops for children and teenagers, theatrical performances, exhibitions, and guided cultural walks through the city's historic sites.

- About fifteen author encounters, mostly with free admission;
- guests including Donato Carrisi, Piero Dorfles, Oscar Farinetti, Daniele Novara, Michela Marzano, Daria Bignardi;
- April 18th – Encounter with Mauro Corona and Marianna Corona (in the evening);
- workshops for children and teenagers;
- theatrical performances and readings;
- guided cultural walks and visits to the city's historic sites.

How to get here
Ronchi dei Legionari can be reached by car from the A4 motorway (Redipuglia exit) and is served by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport. The main events are held at the Palatenda in Parco Excelsior, on Via Roma.
