The Alpine Group's festival at the San Luigi Oratory
In the Municipality of Levate, on the outskirts of Bergamo, the Alpine Group is one of the most active associations, and every year in June it organizes its Alpine Festival at the San Luigi Gonzaga Oratory. It is an event that brings the town together in the spirit of conviviality and commitment that distinguishes the 'penne nere'.
The festival takes place over several evenings, traditionally spread across two weekends of the month. Every evening, the restaurant opens with specialties of Bergamo cuisine, accompanied by bar service and the unmissable tombola (bingo). Management is entrusted to the volunteers of the Alpine Group, who make the festival a moment of aggregation for the entire community.
The Levate Alpine Festival is part of the rich calendar of summer festivals that, in the municipalities of the Province of Bergamo, liven up oratories and sports centers between June and August. It is an opportunity to gather around the table, support the initiatives of the Alpini, and experience the village dimension, in a municipality in the first urban belt often perceived as a residential area.
A new edition of the Levate Alpine Festival is expected for 2026, following the established formula: several evenings in June at the San Luigi Gonzaga Oratory, with the restaurant serving Bergamo specialties, a bar, and tombola, managed by the volunteers of the Alpine Group.
The precise dates have not yet been published at the time of writing.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition has not yet been published. Based on recent editions, the festival includes:
