Lecco Film Fest is one of the youngest and most dynamic film events in Lombardy. Founded in 2020, it is promoted by Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio and organized by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo. In just a few years, it has built a clear identity, capable of uniting cinema, culture, business, and the territory.
The Female Gaze and the Premio Lucia
A distinctive feature of the festival is its focus on the female gaze in cinema and contemporary culture. This is underscored by the Premio Lucia, a symbolic award inspired by Lucia from "The Betrothed" — not coincidentally a character born in Lecco — given to women who authentically portray the female experience, characterized by strength, inner freedom, and awareness.
Preview Screenings, Guests, and Masterclasses
The program combines preview screenings, meetings with authors, masterclasses, and national and international guests from the world of cinema, journalism, and culture. Past editions have attracted prominent figures and thousands of spectators; the 2025 edition recorded over five thousand attendees.
A Festival of the Territory
Lecco Film Fest takes place in various venues throughout the city center, transforming Lecco into an open-air stage overlooking Lake Como. In addition to the main events, the festival offers programs dedicated to young people on cinema and audiovisual language, confirming its educational mission and its commitment to rooting film culture in the Province of Lecco and the Lombardy Region.

Lecco Film Fest 2026, the seventh edition, takes place from July 2 to 5 in various venues in the center of Lecco. It is promoted by Confindustria Lecco and Sondrio and organized by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo.
The festival reaffirms its focus on the female gaze in cinema and contemporary culture, with the awarding of the Premio Lucia, and offers preview screenings, masterclasses, meetings with authors, and national and international guests. The 2025 edition recorded over five thousand attendees.
