Edition 2025 — Lampascione Festival

The second edition of the Lampascione and Wild Asparagus Festival was held in Ascoli Satriano on April 27, 2025. After its debut in the hamlet of Borgo San Carlo, the event moved to the heart of the town, confirming the growing interest in the two wild products that are symbols of the peasant cuisine of the Monti Dauni, celebrated with food stalls and traditional dishes.

The 2025 edition represented the second appointment with the Lampascione and Wild Asparagus Festival in Ascoli Satriano, in the province of Foggia. After the first edition hosted in 2024 in Borgo San Carlo, the event took place in the town center, bringing the festival closer to the public.

Organized by the APS Ascoli Satriano – Cultura, Tradizioni e Fantasia, the day featured food stalls and tastings dedicated to the lampascione (Leopoldia comosa) and wild asparagus, accompanied by traditional Daunian peasant dishes and a village festival atmosphere. The edition consolidated the festival as a new reference point for the promotion of the area's wild herbs.
