Edition 2025 — Labico in Frasca

The 2025 edition of Labico in Frasca took place in the historic center of Labico between August 20 and 28, with 'fraschette' set up in the village alleys. Eight 'fraschette' took part in the now-traditional gastronomic competition: each presented a dish, which was tasted and evaluated on Tuesday, August 26, by chef Michele Forte of Ristorante Oasi in Velletri, invited as a special judge by the organizers.

Labico in Frasca 2025

In August 2025, the historic center of Labico, in the Metropolitan City of Rome, hosted a new edition of the festival dedicated to the 'fraschette', the popular taverns that used a leafy branch to signal the sale of wine and home-cooked food.

Eight 'fraschette' animated the alleys and squares, each with its own dish in the competition. The judging was entrusted to chef Michele Forte, head of Ristorante Oasi in Velletri, who tasted all the entries on August 26 before designating the winning dish. The organizers highlighted the value of the event as a celebration of authentic food, hospitality, local tradition, and cultural vibrancy.

As per tradition, entry to the trail was free, with food and drinks available at affordable prices and evenings accompanied by music.
