The Piacenza craft beer festival

Every year, in June, the small town of Piozzano, nestled in the hills of the Val Luretta valley in the province of Piacenza, becomes the meeting point for craft beer enthusiasts from Emilia-Romagna. "La Nostra Birra" is the showcase that celebrates the microbreweries of the Piacenza territory: a food and wine event that brings the flavors, aromas, and convivial atmosphere of good beer made just a few kilometers away to the sports field area.

Local Breweries

The heart of the festival is the tasting counter, where you can sample the creations of Piacenza microbreweries. Past editions have featured breweries such as Buttiga, Retorto, Green Dogs Brewery, Vallescura, and the Tasso Alcolico brewery, which also gives its name to the evening walk. From Ales to Lagers, from IPAs to more experimental beers, each producer shares their interpretation of the art of brewing, in a showcase that promotes short supply chains and the connection to the Piacenza land.

Music, Food, and Conviviality

The evenings in Piozzano are not just about beer. Alongside the taps, there are live concerts and music, while the food stalls offer local specialties, from bortellina to dishes prepared by Pro Loco volunteers. You can eat and drink outdoors, sitting at long tables under the stars, in that village festival atmosphere that is the true soul of the event.

The "Camminata del Tasso Alcolico"

One of the most beloved events is the "Camminata (or Marcia) del Tasso Alcolico" (Alcoholic Badger Walk), an evening stroll of about 7 kilometers winding through the hills around the Municipality of Piozzano, passing through scenic hamlets like Pomaro, where a stop is planned with a refreshing glass of beer and specialties prepared by the Pro Loco. An original way to combine gentle exercise, the landscape of the Val Luretta with its blooming broom, and the pleasure of the festival, with a constantly growing number of participants.

Organized by the Pro Loco of Piozzano with the support of the Municipality, "La Nostra Birra" is now a classic of the Piacenza summer: an event that tells the identity of a rural area of Emilia-Romagna through craft beer, music, and conviviality, attracting visitors from all over the province of Piacenza.
