The Flavors of the Forest in Codogno
King Mushroom & Mr. Truffle is the traveling festival dedicated to mushrooms and truffles that stops in Codogno, in the province of Lodi, at the Giuseppe Vezzulli Exhibition Center on Viale Medaglie d'Oro. For two weekends, a large covered and heated tent welcomes visitors on a culinary journey entirely dedicated to the stars of the autumn table.
The Menu
The gastronomic offer centers on mushrooms and truffles: truffle risotto, beef tartare with truffle, orecchiette with sausage and mushrooms, and fried porcini are some of the dishes served. For enthusiasts, it is also possible to purchase fresh truffles by weight.
Shows Every Evening
Alongside the food, the festival offers a packed entertainment schedule: comedy and stand-up shows, musical tributes (in past editions dedicated to artists like Vasco Rossi and AC/DC), magic shows, burlesque performances on weekends, as well as acrobats, fire-eaters, and children's entertainment.
A Festival of Solidarity
The event combines taste and solidarity: in the past, one hundred complete meals were donated to the Municipality of Codogno for people in need. Organized by specialized operators in Lombardy's traveling festivals, it is an anticipated event on the winter calendar of the Basso Lodigiano region.
King Mushroom & Mr. Truffle — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of King Mushroom & Mr. Truffle is expected, as usual, over two weekends between late January and early February at the Giuseppe Vezzulli Exhibition Center in Codogno. In the covered and heated tent, dishes based on mushrooms and truffles will return, with fresh truffle sales by weight, accompanied by evenings of entertainment.
