The first stage of the ATPI championship in the Settima Pulling Arena
For the first time in its history, the Italian Tractor Pulling Championship stops in the Piacenza area. The event is held at the Pulling Arena in Settima, a hamlet of the Municipality of Gossolengo, in the province of Piacenza, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. The new arena, located in the industrial area of via Enrico Berlinguer, hosts the first stage of the season for the championship organized by ATPI - Associazione Tractor Pulling Italia.
Tractor Pulling is a motorsport discipline born in the United States from traditional farmer challenges. Specially modified tractors and vehicles compete in pulling a weighted trailer, called a "sled," along a 100-meter dirt track. The winner is the one who can drag the increasing weight the furthest: a spectacular test of power, mechanical engineering, and pure adrenaline, accompanied by the deafening roar of the engines.
Over 50 pullers are expected at the Settima stage, divided into numerous categories showcasing vehicles with power ranging from 1,000 to over 10,000 horsepower. Among the classes in competition:
The Gossolengo event marks the opening of a championship that spans across Italy with various stages throughout the season. The presence of Tractor Pulling in Piacenza signifies an important debut for this rapidly growing sport, capable of attracting motorsport enthusiasts, families, and curious onlookers.
The event takes place outdoors and is designed as a day of spectacle suitable for families. In addition to the races, the area generally hosts refreshment stands and vehicle displays, allowing visitors to experience the paddock atmosphere up close and admire the mechanical "monsters" that are the stars of the competition.
The 2026 edition marked the debut of Tractor Pulling in Gossolengo, with the first stage of the ATPI Italian Championship. On Saturday, May 30, from 4:00 PM, over 50 "pullers" battled it out on the dirt track of the new Pulling Arena in Settima, on via Enrico Berlinguer.
The competitions involved the Garden Pulling, Prosport, Prostock, and Light Modified categories, with vehicles capable of unleashing from 1,000 to over 10,000 horsepower. Admission was set at 15 euros, free for children up to 12 years old.

The Pulling Arena is located in the industrial area of via Enrico Berlinguer, in Settima di Gossolengo (PC). By car from Piacenza, it can be reached in about 15 minutes by taking the road towards Val Trebbia. The reference train station is Piacenza, on the Milan-Bologna line.
Admission fee: 15 euros for adults, free for children up to 12 years old. Tickets can be purchased directly at the entrance.
Comfortable clothing is recommended, and given the noise of the engines, the use of hearing protection for young children.
