Thirty years of Italian craft beer

The Italian Brewery Festival is the big annual celebration of one of the breweries that has written the history of craft beer in Italy. It takes place in Lomazzo, in the Province of Como, at the Area Feste on via Cavour, a few minutes' walk from the train station. The 2026 edition has a special flavor: it celebrates the 30 years of Birrificio Italiano, founded in nearby Limido Comasco and which has become a benchmark for the national brewing movement.

Over fifty beers on tap

The heart of the festival is the beer: over 50 references on tap from all over the world, with the presence of dozens of breweries, each with its own specialties. There are also new productions and, for the thirtieth anniversary, the return of the Amber Shock in its original recipe. The guided tastings with the brewer and the blind tasting on Sunday morning are designed for those who want to deepen and refine their palate.

Pils Pride: the pride of golden lagers

Inside the festival, there is space for Pils Pride, an event dedicated to Italian and international golden lagers — a style that Birrificio Italiano has helped to relaunch in Italy with its famous Tipopils. Alongside the beers, the festival offers street food, mixology, and a rich program of live music.

A celebration for the Como area

More than just a beer fair, the festival has become an identity-building event for Lomazzo and the entire Como area, capable of attracting enthusiasts from all over Lombardy and beyond. A weekend where brewing culture meets the conviviality of a great village festival.
